The Timeless Beauties collection, Tim
Alberts and Dale Richards have
brought the concept of ideal beauty to the forefront once
again, using
the 1950's as their backdrop. Inspired by the fashion and
prevalent
looks of the day, Rose's gown is reminiscent of Charles
James while
Violet could have appeared in Dior's Salon any day.
Their hair and make-up feature two of the most popular
looks of the
time. The softly blonde appeal of Rose and the striking
Violet would be
easily found in the pages of any haute couture fashion
magazine of that
time.
Blonde and beautiful Rose makes her entrance gowned in a
luminous, tea
rose pink, satin dress. The sculptural silhouette, that of
a narrow
column, is completed at the bottom by a many-layered
ruffle that
represents a down turned rose. The beading on the bodice,
and sleeves,
of the gown creates a bouquet of tiny roses made from pink
organza
ribbon that are accented with white leaves and finished
with a silver
and seed pearl embellishment. Her upswept hairdo of softly
waved curls
and French twist, is complimented by her 'silver' and
pearl, dangle,
earrings and a double strand pearl necklace. Pink faille
shoes that
have been detailed with seed pearls and white silk bows, a
'diamond'

Violet, striking and iconic, wears a chicly short, dark
brown hairdo as
she enters the ballroom in a full skirted ball gown that
has a
strapless, heart shaped bodice with a tuxedo collar. The
bodice,
encrusted with sequins that ombrees from purple to black
is attached to
a multi-layered tulle skirt that follows the same color
palette. The
black sequins break and scatter from the bodice over the
tulle skirt
and enhances the overall sumptuous look of her ensemble.
Hidden beneath
the layers of black and purple tulle lies a surprise, a
yellow
petticoat that represents the yellow center of the violet
flower. Worn
with the dress is a spectacular, full-skirted opera coat
made from
black, lined with violet, silk. Earrings which are a

'amethyst' stones, a 'jeweled' bracelet, a decorative pin
